He came upon grace,
An unfamiliar state
Callously dismissed as
Unbecoming.
He came upon hope and
Methodically
Wrung its neck with
Unfounded beliefs and
Fearful suppositions.
He came upon love and
Violently banished it
Away from himself,
And others.
